Motorola DM1400

The Motorola DM1400 is a digital mobile radio from Motorola. Built to IP54 rating means that the radio has a limited Ingress protection against dust, whilst also being safeguarded against splashes of water from all angles. MIL-STD-810 C/D/E/F/G ensures the reliability of the DM1400, continuing to operate in a variety of differing weather conditions from as low as -30°C through to 60°C. The DM1400 has a 2-digit LED display in order to showcase the channel that the user is broadcasting over, this whilst also having a voice announcement system which verbally announces the channel number when switched.

Analogue/Digital compatibility means that the radio user will get all the benefits of a digital radio, this including better voice quality, range and battery life whilst also retaining its ability to work with existing analogue radios. Designed for the everyday driver, when used inside a vehicle the DM1400 allows for the connection of the workforce without distracting them, not only improving efficiency but also enhancing safety.

Standing at a height of 44mm, width of 169mm and depth of 134mm the DM1400 is a compact radio, this whilst only weighing in at 1.3kg. A built-in speaker provides crisp and clear audio, this ensuring transmissions are heard first time. A channel capacity of 16 allows for sufficient communications between a team, whilst a transmit interrupt feature allows for interruption of ongoing conversations to transmit an important message to all radios.
