Nexis Charger is an innovative 12-way intellegent charging station. Designed to fit a similar footprint to most 6-way chargers, the Nexis Charger offers double the charging capacity.

Small Footprint & Mounting Points (World's First)

Nexis Charger 12 way charging unit occupies a footprint of almost the same as a standard competitive 6 way charger, for example Motorola's IMPRES MUC 6-way chargers. Nexis Charger can be desk or wall mounted.Unlike the IMPRES charger, the Nexis Charger requires no further fixings or brackets are required for wall mounting - there ere are 2 points for screw fixings.

Innovative Pod / Adapter System - Mix & Match Pods

The user can choose to select a standard charger package where all 12 pods are the same. Or a mix and match of any of the 12 pods from the pod selection available. That means that the user could potentially buy 12 different pods and charge 12 completely different radios at the same time - as the built in microprocessors will detect the change in adaptors, identify the radio model and battery type and provide the appropriate charging cycle. The pods can be changed one by one to help towards a gradual migration.

Environmentally Friendly & Low Power Consumption

Nexis Charger has built in switch-mode power supply and regulated switching circuitry meaning it only draws the amount of electricity needed to charge the batteries / radios currently docked. Furthermore, when the battery is full charged the pod switches to low power mode and draws very little energy whilst trickle charging a NiMH battery.

Radio / Battery Place Tags

Nexis Charger has space for 12 removable white polypropylene place tags - and they're included are included with the unit. The place tags slot into the back of each pod where required. The Nexis Charger user can use a permanent marker, or dry wipe, to write on the place tags. More Nexis Charger name tags are available where required.

Auto Detects Battery Chemistry & Capacity

 Nexis Charger is intelligent and versatile. It detects the battery's capacity and chemistry. As soon as the radio (or battery only) is inserted into the Nexus Charger, the microprocessors run down the battery's chemistry and capacity. Then it creates a charge cycle which will best suit the battery.

Safety Check Features

Charging batteries can be hazardous - especially with lithium batteries. But the Nexis Charger has a great deal of safety features. For example, a temperature detection circuit detect's the battery's temperature. If the battery's temperature exceeds the charging temperature range, charging stops until the temperature returns to within the range. With a lithium battery, the microprocessors check for battery health and short circuit before attempting to charge the battery. These are just examples of the advanced technology built into the Nexis Charger.

International, Multi Voltage, Use

The Nexis Charger is truly an international product and can be supplied with any power lead. It can be powered by a simple 12v supply, or can auto detect between 110v and 250v. The connection in the back for mains power is IEC, and we can supply any cable required. Please select the correct cable when ordering.
