Motorola DP3441 Digital Two Way Radio
The DP3441 is a discontinued two way radio from Motorola. Although a compact radio the DP3441 is rugged and reliable having been built to IP67 standards, this means that it has a full Ingres protection against dust whilst also being safeguarded against submersion in 1 meter of water for 30 minutes. Compliant to military specifications (MIL-STD-810 C/D/E/F/G) the Sl4000 has been tested in a variety of working conditions, standing up to the test of temperatures as low as -30˚C all the way through to 60˚C.
Many safety features are included with the DP3441 included VOX Voice Activation, allowing the user to operate their radio hands free should it be needed. Lone Worker is also present on the Motorola DP3441, this signaling should a radio be inactive for a pre-set period of time, sending a message to a base station or other operatives within the fleet with the radio ID of the inactive device. Transmit Interrupt allows for a priority message to be sent across all channels, interrupting any ongoing conversations in order to portray an ongoing incident or new instructions to the team of radio users.
The DP3441 benefits from the ability to perform over the air updates, allowing for the radios firmware to be updated within having to remove them from circulation. A channel capacity of 32 provides sufficient communications for a medium sized operation, whilst IP Site Connect allows for the radios to be used across multiple sites.
