Icom IC-F5012

The IC-F5012 is a VHF mobile two way radio from Icom. Built to military standards (MIL-STD-810 C/D/E/F) this ensures the radios reliability within tough working environments, continuing to operate seamless from -30°C through to 60°C. A 4W front-mounted speaker provides clear audio from transmissions, allowing for incoming messages to be heard clearly first time. 8 Channels allow for sufficient communications between a small team, with channel spacings of 25, 20 and 12.5KHz.

Built in signalling such as 2-tone, 5-tone, MDC1200, CTCSS and DTCS allow the user to set up their own talk-groups or enable quiet stand-by whilst others are talking. Up to ten 2-tone or eight 5-tone codes can be decoded onto a single channel, this meaning features such as stun, kill, revive, answer back, auto TX and scan are programmable to respond to each tone.

The IC-F5012 has enhanced scanning features allowing for one or two channels to be monitored at high priority, this matched with the TX channel and talk back functions allows for the operative to make a quick response to transmissions whilst scanning. Built-in MCD1200 allows for transmitting a PTT ID and emergency signal and for receiving radio check, stun and revive. Other features pre-programmed into the IC-F5012 include a time-out timer, lock-out timer, DTMF autodial function whilst the radio is also programmable via PC.
